Off The Chain: The Antagonist

A lot of dope rappers that have come out of Long Beach have rose to fame, and many are going to remember Snoop Dogg, Crooked I, Warren G and Nate Dogg as some of the biggest ones to come out of the city. But Long Beach also has its share of artists on their way up, notably The Antagonist. Formed at Woodrow Wilson High School, The Antagonist, which was once as large as 10 members at one point, consists of Tony Rome, Ace, Hennessee and Arisin. We’ve taken a liking to their sound, which is a mix between Army of the Pharaoh’s, Wu Tang and Mobb Deep.

Check out their mixtape, Off The Chain Mixtape Vol.1, grab it from the link below, it's free and is definitely worth a listen. We're pretty sure you'll agree with us. These guys have some serious flow and spit some pretty real bars. It's awesome to see guys like these put in work, they're releasing a second mixtape by the end of the year, as well as an album that is set to drop in early 2012. We'll be covering both as soon as they drop, so keep checking back here for updates on these guys, and check out their Facebook and Twitter while you're at it!
