Avicii - Levels (Remixes)

Yet another set of remixes to Avicii's hit Levels have surfaced, and they're from Skrillex and Cazzette. To be honest, I was expecting a bit more from Skrillex but the Cazzette remix does not disappoint.

Avicii - Levels (Cazzette NYC Mode Mix)

Avicii - Levels (Skrillex Remix)

Tyler Durand - No Nagging

If this song is any indication of what's coming on his new album, you can guarantee it's going to be sick. This is definitely my favourite song by this guy, check it out!

Pumped Up Kicks (Sex Ray Vision Remix)

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

They said the remix they were doing this week was going to be sick, but I didn't think it would be this crazy. This is definitely the best Pumped Up Kicks remix I've heard!

Foster The People - Pumped Up Kicks (Sex Ray Vision Remix)

11/23/2011

MGK - Wild Boy (Official)

I heard this song months ago, and have been waiting for a video ever since. Machine Gun Kelly has made a huge name for himself lately, and working with someone as big as Waka Flocka can only take the kid higher. Check out the video!

Neus, neus neus!

So I've been listening to some Neus for awhile and I thought that I'd share with everyone! Specializing in more genres than one, he produces his own tracks and does remixes! Here are a few tracks to give you an idea of the sort of music he produces as well as a remix that I think is one of his best works. Give his tracks a listen and download them to your heart's content!

DJ Trademark Download!

Hey everyone! Haven't posted in awhile, and what I have here is a download for one of my earlier posts on Dj Trademark's Pastel. If you like mashups, and house music, then you'll LOVE pastel. Give it a listen before you download to see if you like it, but I guarantee you will not be disappointed!

Guy J & Henry Saiz - Meridian (Pryda Remix)

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Eric Prydz has been having a huge year, he's put out some huge tracks and done some amazing remixes. His new remix of the Guy J and Henry Saiz track Meridian is awesome. It's almost nine minutes long, and is the kind of song you just get lost in, and its really slow and melodic.

Guy J, Henry Saiz - Meridian (Pryda Remix)

Alex Gopher - Handguns (Dada Life Remix)

I love coming across songs I haven't heard for a long time, and as soon as I heard this I knew I had to post it. Chuckie - Who Is Ready To Jump

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
I heard a preview of this at the beginning of the month, and have been looking so hard for a full version. I finally found one, and I can honestly tell you this will be one of the biggest tracks of the year. Everything Chuckie touches turns into gold, and this song is no different. A must download!

Chuckie - Who Is Ready To Jump (Original Mix)

Bingo Players - Rattle

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Bingo Players came out with this track a little while ago, and its been climbing the Beatport charts since. Its a lot like most Bingo Players songs, with lots of high energy and a fast rhythm, for sure worth listening to.

Bingo Players - Rattle

Two Door Cinema Club - What You Know (Feed Me Cover Remix)

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Feed Me has made a huge splash in the industry and is a definite rising star. He's taken a track by Irish band Two Door Cinema Club and transformed it into to a monster dubstep track. This track has a nasty drop, but will still appeal to people who aren't normally fans of dubstep as well. Be sure to grab this!

Two Door Cinema Club - What You Know (Feed Me Cover Remix)

Wynter Gordon & LMFAO Remixed

LMFAO have put out some of the most popular songs in the last little while, and the same can be said for Wynter Gordon, although she is a little less known. Their songs always get the sickest remixes by some of the biggest names too. Check out some of our favourites!

LMFAO - Party Rock Anthem (Sex Ray Vision Remix)

Wynter Gordon - Dirty Talk (Laidback Luke Remix)

Wynter Gordon - Til Death (R3hab Remix)

Avicii - Levels (Hardwell Bootleg)

There have been a ton of remixes of Levels since it's came out, and everyone from Hayden Hoffman to Clockwork have put out remixes. This bootleg is by far the best though. Hardwell turns everything he touches, and he put this gem of a track on an entirely different level.

Avicii - Levels (Hardwell Bootleg)

Swanky Tunes & Hard Rock Sofa

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Both of these groups are huge in Russia, and have slowly been gathering a following in North America. When these groups collaborate, you know you're going to hear something good. Swanky Tunes and Hard Rock Sofa are, without a doubt, one of the most exciting sounds coming from Europe at the moment. Make sure you check out these two collaborations between the two of them, you will not be disappointed!

Most of you probably know Sidney Samson as genius behind Riverside, and probably haven't heard many of the other huge tracks he puts out. He's way underrated as a DJ and is known to put on some amazing shows. We can almost guarantee you'll be a fan.

Steven Jo - Disturbing The Peace

It was only a matter of time until we posted something by this guy. Most of you have probably seen some of his videos on YouTube, but if you haven't make sure you check the video out, he's hilarious. Hardwell - Cobra

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Hardwell has been one of my favourite DJ's lately, and he's always putting out huge tracks and some of the sickest remixes. His collaboration with Nicky Romero on Beta turned into one of the most highly anticipated songs of the year, and he came back right away with the release of Cobra. Cobra is an insane track and is sure to make its way into a ton of DJ sets. If you're already a fan of Hardwell, you'll already enjoy these tracks, and if you're not already a fan, you will be after these!

Hardwell - Cobra (Official Energy Anthem 2012)

Kid Cudi - Rap Hard (Unreleased Mixtape c. 2001/2002)

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Cudi decided to drop this mixtape after he canceled A Man Named Scott, and it definitely doesn't disappoint. All the songs are from around 2001 or 2002 when no one knew who he was. Rap Hard is an awesome mixtape, and it's a nice change from a lot of the other Cudi tracks that have been out there.

Kid Cudi - Rap Hard Download

Be sure to grab this, enjoy!

Soulja Boy ft. Waka Flocka & Trav - Ocean Mobb

I usually can't stand Soulja Boy, and I'm kind of embarrassed to be posting one of his tracks, but this ones definitely worth taking the time to post. Waka comes in on the track and brings the aggressive sound he's known for, and Soulja Boy has a pretty filthy hook. Hate to admit it, but this songs growing on me, its a must listen.

Soulja Boy ft. Waka Flocka & Trav - Ocean Mobb

Diplo & Datsik ft. Kay - Pick Your Poison

Diplo and Datsik are on two different ends of the spectrum in terms of EDM music, and when artists like these two collaborate you know you're in for a treat. This track is nuts and you definitely get a feel for both artists in it.

Diplo and Datsik feat. Kay - Pick Your Poison

Goodwill & Hook N Sling - Take You Higher (Club Mix)

Imogen Heap - Hide And Seek (Otto Knows Remix)

Kid Ink - Batgang ft. Hardhead

Kid Ink - Batgang ft. Hardhead

Foster The People - Pumped Up Kicks (Skeet Skeet Remix)

Not too much to say about this song except it's really catchy and it's a really well done remix. Be sure to check out the D'Alcorz track as well as the Vandalism track, you'll definitely enjoy them!

D'Alcorz - Bring The Night (Electro Banger Remix)

Vandalism ft. Dwight The Young One - Rockin' (In The Place)

Journey - Don't Stop Believing (Felix Voya Remix)

Apparently very few people have heard this gem of a track. I'm positive this track is going to appeal to everyone, because after all, who doesn't like Journey? Felix Voya is simply a genius for this track, and anyone who's heard it will understand. Also, be sure to check out the Waka Flocka dubstep remix and the Wiz Khalifa remix!

Journey - Don't Stop Believing (Felix Voya Remix)

Waka Flocka Flame - Hard In The Paint (Bellizio Remix - Crizzly Edit)

Wiz Khalifa - This Plane (Viceroy Jet Life Remix)

Enjoy these!

Zedd - Shave It (Kaskade Remix)

We've been a fan of the original track for a bit now, and now we're even bigger fans of the remix. Kaskade is definitely moving in a different direction with this remix, and it sounds like an entirely different song. Give it a listen and I'm pretty sure you'll agree with us when we say Kaskade's new stuff definitely shows why he was voted 'America's Best DJ' in September.

Zedd - Shave It (Original Mix)

Smoke DZA - Rolling Stoned

I can't wait until this guy gets some more hype, and hopefully this collaboration with A$AP Rocky is going to get him some. This guy has a really fresh sound, and his mixtape is definitely worth checking out!

Stalley - Lincoln Way Nights

I love when good rappers get a chance to make an impact, and right now Stalley's on the come up. He recently signed with Rick Ross's MMG and is considered a front runner for this years XXL Top Freshman. Keep on the look out for him, because he's going to be making a big name for himself soon!
Be sure to grab his Lincoln Way Nights mixtape, which is presented by MishkaNYC.

Immortal Technique - Rich Mans World (1%)

This track is simply nuts. Lyrically, Immortal Technique is on another level, and there's very few rappers out there who are intelligent as him. Give this track a listen, and I guarantee it'll be one of the most thought provoking tracks you've ever heard. We all know Immortal Technique has been putting out some of the realest and socially conscious rap for years now, and The Martyr is no different. It's available as a free download, so be sure to grab that!

ASAP Rocky - LiveLoveA$AP

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
We figured him signing a $3 million dollar deal with Polo Grounds Music, which is distributed by RCA, gave us a good reason to finally do a post on him. A$AP just dropped his debut mixtape LiveLoveA$AP on October 31st, and it's better than a lot of albums that are out there. He has huge names in the industry already supporting him, notably fellow Harlem native Jim Jones. Check out a few of his tracks here and make sure to grab his mixtape!

Avicii - ID

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Like every Avicii track, there's a lot of buzz already surrounding this one. No one's sure of the name, or whether it's even going to be a real track or not, but regardless it's an amazing song. The last time Avicii gave us an 'ID', it turned out to be Levels, so we can only imagine how this is going to turn out. Enjoy!

Afrojack - Lionheart (Original Mix)

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Afrojack is back with this huge track, along with the synth and bass he's known for. This song was first played on Radio 1 by fellow Dutch DJ, Chuckie, who sat in with Pete Tong during the prime time portion of his show. It's already made a huge impact, and I bet you'll see this in a ton of sets soon.

Shawn Chrystopher

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I'm actually shocked at the amount of people that have no idea who this guy is. Shawn Chrystopher is a machine, he graduated high school at 16 and got himself a scholarship to USC, he played 5 different instruments in grade school, and just keeps coming out with amazing tracks. He's been around for a couple years now, but he's really starting to blow up thanks to him working with artists like Big Sean, Mike Posner and XV. The guy has an awesome style and his work has been sponsored by LRG and Xbox. All of his music is available as a free download on his site, so make sure you grab that!

Off The Chain: The Antagonist

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
A lot of dope rappers that have come out of Long Beach have rose to fame, and many are going to remember Snoop Dogg, Crooked I, Warren G and Nate Dogg as some of the biggest ones to come out of the city. But Long Beach also has its share of artists on their way up, notably The Antagonist. Formed at Woodrow Wilson High School, The Antagonist, which was once as large as 10 members at one point, consists of Tony Rome, Ace, Hennessee and Arisin. We’ve taken a liking to their sound, which is a mix between Army of the Pharaoh’s, Wu Tang and Mobb Deep.

Check out their mixtape, Off The Chain Mixtape Vol.1, grab it from the link below, it's free and is definitely worth a listen. We're pretty sure you'll agree with us. These guys have some serious flow and spit some pretty real bars. It's awesome to see guys like these put in work, they're releasing a second mixtape by the end of the year, as well as an album that is set to drop in early 2012. We'll be covering both as soon as they drop, so keep checking back here for updates on these guys, and check out their Facebook and Twitter while you're at it!

Action Bronson - Dr. Lecter

I'm not too sure if many people have heard of this dude, but he's finally starting to make a name for himself and he's gotten on a lot of peoples radar lately. He sounds so much like Ghostface Killah, and he looks a lot like Big Pun. Tons of people are calling him a contender for this years XXL Freshman, so we'll have to see how that plays out. Apparently the guy is a pretty accomplished chef back in Queens, and I guess that explains the amount of tracks on food on this album. Either way, its full of great tracks, and is definitely worth checking out. Keep your eyes out for this guy, he's going to blow up sooner or later.

Kid Cudi - To Da Top (Unreleased)

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
We aren't sure when this song was recorded, and we don't know if its meant for an album or mixtape, or whether it's a track from years ago. Cudi sounds a bit younger here, so it could be an old track, or one that was meant for the A Man Named Scott mixtape before it was scrapped. Regardless, it's a good song, so be sure to check it out!

Kid Cudi - To Da Top

Props to Team Supreme for finding this one!

Ayo it's Romie!

Coming straight out of Brampton, ON is Robert (a.k.a Romie). He's been on the scene for a few years producing his own music in hip hop, and rap. I'm sure most of you would agree that making your own rap is hard and requires talent, both of which Romie has, but he also produces his own beats and makes his own samples! That's like talent x2. But hey, talk is cheap right? Why not just give the songs a listen and YOU be the judge. Recommended songs: 5051 and Hot minute.

Feeling Good - DOSVEC

We stumbled across this track call Feeling Good by DOSVEC. He's a mashup artist based in New York City, and has put out some of the sickest mashup tracks out there. Be sure to check this out, its so catchy, I guarantee it'll be stuck in your head hours later!

Monster Monday Post

It seems like no one is a fan of Monday's, so we came up with the idea of posting some huge tracks to get your week off to a good start. Eric Prydz is back with an awesome remix that put him in the fourth spot on the Beatport chart, Basto puts out a banger, Avicii and Basshunter get remixed, and Chuckie keeps on putting out amazing stuff with his remix of a Rihanna and Calvin Harris hit. There's tons more in this post, and it's sure to put you in a good mood, even on a Monday!

Adidas Presents: Finally Originals

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Big Sean's always been known for being original, and he's continued to be original, by teaming up with DJ Mo Beatz and Adidas to bring us a one of a kind album remix. Working with a bunch of different DJ's, the end result was Finally Originals, a remix of his debut album on G.O.O.D Music. This album is remixed with electro tracks, featuring artists like AC Slater remixing some of Big Sean's most popular tracks. It's such an original idea, and it combines the two things we love, hip hop and electro, on one mixtape. You're definitely going to love this!

So I just realized the zip folder doesn't have High in it, so we've added it here as a separate download.

No Scuzacks: Tyler Durand

In addition to working with Th!nk Music, he's also worked with RashDon of the Hamilton Hi-Cats and EJ Grant. RoseMo700 Shot In Inglewood, Dies In Hospital

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Photo Courtesy of World Star Hip Hop

RoseMo700, who made headlines all over hip hop blogs in September for his claim of knocking L.A rap star Game out in a Culver City mall with Bricksquad artist Ice Burgandy, is dead. According to LA Weekly, Jomo Adoula Zambia, also known as RoseMo700 was on his way home from dropping his girlfriend off at work when his red BMW was shot at along Florence Ave in Inglewood. Zambia was hit in the arm and torso, and sped through a red light and crashed into an unmarked police cruiser and injuring the police officer in the process. Both men were rushed to hospital where Zambia died soon after. The police officer remains in critical condition.

The shooting is currently being investigated, with police looking at RoseMo700's Twitter account for leads. We'll update you as soon as we hear new details.

Skrillex and The Doors

UPDATE: Apparently the links for the Klaypex song and the Skrillex song with The Doors aren't working. If you want the track, send us an email.

We've got a couple Skrillex tracks, including a remix of Breakin' A Sweat by The Doors. Be sure to check out the Klaypex track, it's killer, we'll definitely be posting more of them soon. Yelawolf Gets Serious and Gucci Isn't Getting Out Any Earlier

Most of you probably remember V-Nasty, the white girl from Oakland who got pretty free with the n-word in a few videos. Yelawolf recently did an interview with VladTV and gave some insight on the situation. He grew up in the South, and has seen first hand how the n-word affects black people. Yelawolf talks about how V-Nasty is embarrassing white people by using it so freely and thinking she's cool after. We've posted the interview between Yelawolf and VladTV below, so be sure to check it out.

On another note, Waka Flocka Flame was proved wrong by a DeKalb County judge when he claimed that Gucci Mane was released after serving a little over a month of his six month sentence for throwing a woman out of his white Hummer after she refused to check into a hotel with him for $150. As a result, he pleaded guilty to two counts of battery, two counts of reckless conduct and one count of disorderly conduct in September. Gucci is also facing a civil lawsuit filed by the woman.

Twitter Beef, Game Getting Knocked Out & Purp

Apparently in Los Angeles, Twitter beef is the new cool thing, especially with all the attention Game got when he supposedly got knocked out. I guess he was going off on Bricksquad Monopoly's Ice Burgandy over Twitter and got knocked out by Rosemo700 when he was at the mall with his son. Listening to Rosemo700 and Ice Burgandy tell the story is pretty funny, regardless of whether its true or not. About a week ago, Rosemo700 got into some more Twitter beef with Boskoe100, and that ended with Boskoe100 getting beaten off his suspension with some guy filming it with his iPad.

Just to give you all something to check out while you're here, we did a quick post on probably the fastest rising star in the hip hop scene right now, Big Sean. In the last year or so he's gone from relatively unknown to almost superstar thanks to Kanye and GOOD Music. We've posted a few songs that aren't his most well known, but are still worth a listen. We're also working on making all of our songs down loadable for you guys!

Big Sean - Fuck My Opponent

Big Sean - Marvin Gaye & Chardonnay

Big Sean - What Goes Around

Thanks for visiting Based & Faded! Soon to be your source for the latest hip hop and EDM tracks, , as well as industry news and information shows and artist spotlights. We'll also be posting a ton of songs most places won't play until months after! Check back often for updates and new features, we're updating as much as we can.

We're running a weekly unsigned hype spotlight, where we profile a relatively unknown artist who we feel is deserving of a shout out. If you know someone who you think we'd like, give us a shout at basedandfaded@gmail.com and link us a few songs and tell us a bit about them.
